Troubleshooting

Web camera function:

  • Step 1: install the camera driver to your computer (driver software with CD).
  • Step 2: turn on the camera function on watch. Wait for couple seconds for the device to be initiated. The camera should be under either recording mode or standby mode. Note: you must turn on the camera function first. If not, it'll go to U-Disk mode instead of web camera mode.
  • Step 3: connect the watch to computer through the USB cable. After couple seconds, your PC will show up a frame with "Image Download Utility". Just click on EXIT icon, no need to do anything. NOTE: If your USB device cannot be recognized by your PC, your PC will not show up the frame with "Image Download Utility", in this case, please unplug the USB cable from both watch and PC, and start it all over again from step 1.
  • Step 4: click on "My Computer" icon on your PC, click on the "Standard Camera" icon to use web camera function.

Web Camera Driver Installation:

  • If you are unable to install the web camera driver from the CD through your CD/DVD-Rom, click here to download driver online. (Note: the software is only for use of web camera, you do not need this software for video recording and playing).
  • You can also click here to download the "time.txt" template and save it to your PC using the same file name, edit time and date according to your real time on watch, and save it back to your watch using the same file name "time.txt". Your video will have updated time and date on it.

U-Disk mode:

  • Step 1: Do NOT turn on the camera on watch. Simply connecting the watch to computer through the USB cable. Wait for a while for the device to be initiated (30 seconds to 2 minutes, depends on your computer's speed).
  • Step 2: If the USB device cannot be recognized by your computer, try to unplug the USB cable from both watch and PC, and start it all over again from step 1.
  • Step 3: When your computer shows up with message box for you to open the U-disk folder, click on it to open the folder. If your computer does not show up the message box, you can click on "My Computer" icon on your PC and click on the "Removable Drive" icon to open the watch camera folder.

Cannot do video recording after fully charged:

  • Usually, it is the malfunction from the memory itself. This can happen after you do recording couple times or after reviewing or deleting files from the watch memory. Please try to Quick Format your watch memory first.
  • Step 1: Do NOT turn on the camera on watch. Simply connecting the watch to computer through the USB cable. Wait for a while for the device to be initiated.
  • Step 2: If the USB device cannot be recognized by your computer, try to unplug the USB cable from both watch and PC, and start it all over again from step 1.
  • Step 3: Click on "My Computer" icon on your PC and right click on the "Removable Drive" icon and it will show up with a Manu Box, choose “QUICK FORMAT” and follow its instruction to format your watch memory. (Note: Quick Format will delete all your recorded files in your watch. You should copy those files to your PC before you do format, if you want to keep those video files).
  • Step 4: Disconnect the watch from PC, and try to do recording again.

Computer cannot recognize the device’s folder (as USB Disk):

  • If you are using the USB 1.0, this may happen. The USB cable with this watch is for USB 2.0 or 3.0 versions. So if you are using USB 1.0, it may take a while for the computer to recognize the watch camera folder.
  • After you connect the watch to computer (following the instruction on manual), wait for a while, do not move the mouse or press any button on computer, and see if the USB will be recognized by your computer.
  • If your computer still cannot recognize the device’s folder, try one of or all of the following steps: 1) Try to rotate the USB cable that is connecting to the watch slot. 2) Or, unplug the USB cable from watch and from computer and then plug it in again. 3) You can also click on “My Computer” folder to find the device’s folder.
  • Note: most of time, if your PC cannot recognize the device’s folder, there is nothing wrong with the watch; it is the setting in your computer or the version of USB slot in your computer. Try to get help from a computer administrator who set up your PC or contact us for more technical information.
Watch Battery:
  • There is a scratch protection film on watch face, please remove it gently before you use the camera.
  • There is a white plastic battery blocker on right crown, remove it gently before you try to adjust the time on watch.
  • Time and camera are using 2 separated batteries. The cell button battery for time can be replaced from local watch stores.
 B. (IR) Infrared LED On/Off:
  • You can turn on the IR light when you are doing recording in dark area. When the camera is in recording or in standby status, press and hold the Button (6) for about 2 seconds until the red light flashes 3 times, the IR LED light is on now. To turn off the IR light, press and hold the Button (6) for about 2 seconds, and the IR light is off, the camera is now doing recording without IR light.
    • NOTE:
    • For IR function, the distance between lens and subject must be within 0.5 meter but no more than 1 meter. If not, the image or video will be dark.
    • IR light is not the indicator light. You cannot see the IR light from watch face.

C. Taking photos:

  • When the camera is in the standby status (blue light is on solid), press Button (6) once, the red light will be on solid, it is now in photo taking mode. Press the Button (2) once to take one photo (red light flashes once), press Button (2) second time to take second photo and so on. To go back to standby status, press the Button (6) twice, blue light is on solid. (Note: in standby mode, if you do not use the camera for 2 minutes, it’ll shut off automatically).

Minute Hand on dial:

  • The power for the timepiece is set to Off as default from factory by blocking the time adjustment crown (#3). You may see the "minute hand" on dial moves backward when you shake the watch. This is not defective. Once you remove the blocker on the time adjustment crown, all the hands on dial will move firmly.

Cannot turn on camera or cannot do charging:

  • Need to reboot software. (refer to How to Reboot Software).

How to reboot software:

  1. Click here to download and save the reboot software into your "My Document" folder on PC. (Note: do not change its file name " CRESFW.BIN").
  2. Do not turn on the camera function on watch.
  3. Connect the watch to your PC through USB cable, after few seconds, your monitor will pop up with the "removable disk" (that is the watch folder), click to open that removable disk. Or, you can click on "My Computer" on your PC to find the "removable disk".
  4. Copy and Paste the software "CRESFW.BIN " into the removable disk (the watch folder).
  5. Disconnect the watch from your PC.
  6. Turn on camera on the watch (refer to manual), the blue light will be on.
  7. The blue light will be on and red light will be on after about 1 minute, this means that the software is being updated.
  8. Rest the watch (press button 2 and button 6 at the same time)
  9. Try to turn on camera or do charging again. This should resolve the charging problem.
